On April 25, 2015, Act II Playhouse presented The White Mountains to a sold-out audience. Consisting of seven short staged readings of new plays, these exciting, entertaining, and thought-provoking performances were inspired by oral histories, and written by some of Philadelphia’s top playwrights. A talkback with playwrights, REACH Ambler staff, and project interviewees followed and served to connect fictional theatrical retellings to contemporary events and issues.
Three of the plays from The White Mountains were read by actors at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) Superfund Research Program Annual Meeting in Philadelphia on December 7, 2017.
The White Mountains were performed again on April 6, 2018 at Act II Playhouse.
